Tradies in Sight was built from the ground up to meet people where they are. The organisation provides support that is personal, practical and trusted by those who may not otherwise reach out.

Why this work matters
Mental health is one of the most common health challenges facing Australians. For people working in trades and construction, the pressure can be especially hard to name.
More recent national mental health data also shows the scale of need. The Australian Bureau of Statistics National Study of Mental Health and Wellbeing found that 42.9% of Australians aged 16–85 had experienced a mental disorder at some time in their life, and 21.5% had experienced a mental disorder in the previous 12 months.
For people working in trades and construction, the pressure can be especially hard to name. Many tradies, apprentices and small business owners are carrying financial stress, long hours, physical demands, business pressure, job insecurity, relationship strain and the expectation to simply keep going.
In the construction industry, suicide and mental ill-health have been recognised as serious and ongoing issues. SafeWork NSW notes that Australian construction workers are six times more likely to die from suicide than from an accident at work, and young construction workers are more than twice as likely to take their own lives than other young Australian men.
This is why practical, relatable and early support matters. Tradies In Sight helps bridge the gap between people struggling quietly and the support they may not otherwise reach for. The organisation provides accessible counselling, trusted conversations and community-based support grounded in the realities of trade, small business and regional life.

A Message from Bruno
"I started Tradies In Sight because I could see there was nothing specifically supporting tradies and men in our communities. Too many people were struggling quietly and didn't know where to go."
