Parliament talk - 19 March 2026

It was a great honour to be given the opportunity to speak in Parliament on 19 March about men's mental health, and how it cannot be solved through government policy alone—it has to be built from the ground up, with real investment in grassroots support. While policy sets the direction, it doesn’t change the day-to-day reality for men who are struggling in silence, often dealing with things like depression, anxiety, or even thoughts of suicide. Real change happens in the places men already are—on worksites, in sheds, in footy clubs—through trusted conversations, peer support, and practical tools that make it easier to speak up early. That’s why investing in grassroots organisations is critical, because they don’t just deliver services—they build connection, shift culture, and reach men long before they ever enter a system. Thanks to Susan Carter MLC for organising this event and for your support of men's mental health. Thanks Bruno
